Come Dancing - The Kinks

Watch & Listen to today's Bulldog Song of the Day!

A blast from the 1980s past, this is a shout out to Kellie for recommending today's SOTD. The song is a nostalgic look back at childhood memories of its writer: the Kinks' frontman Ray Davies, remembering his older sister going on dates to the local Palais dance hall where big bands would play.

Boz Scaggs - Lido Shuffle

Watch & Listen to today's Bulldog Song of the Day!

This was a tough song to find. What is a Lido? A Pizza that doesn't cut corners? I searched on 'Lead on' ...unfortunately that's not in the lyrics nor title. Womp womp. Enjoy the song, Sir Ryan. And to all have a marvelous weekend.

Ryan Adams and Emmylou Harris "Oh My Sweet Carolina"

Watch & Listen to today's Bulldog Song of the Day!

A slightly different live version of Oh Sweet Carolina, you like? I saw Ryan live at Iota Club in Clarendon many years ago, his fans would sit Indian style on the bar floor in front of the stage to watch him. The bar was loud, but he wouldn't play until everyone was quiet for every song. In a bar. So the Indian style sitters would turn around to shush the crowd at the bar before each song. Funny? Maybe not. After a few songs, I chose to sit Indian style on the bar floor near the stage so I could enjoy his music close up and an added bonus to shush my friends at the bar. But that guy is still good live, even as a prima donnna with no amplifiers or speakers when at Iota.

U2 - One

Watch & Listen to today's Bulldog Song of the Day!

I cried twice in my last U2 concert, One and Streets. Is that wrong to get emotional during a great live song?
